A personal note: When one tackles such a project such as a major restoration of an old boat there can be moments of self-doubt. Cost, timing, and myriad details can become overwhelming. The "fun quotient" can drop rapidly. The restoration of Santana was completed, for the most part, within budget and on time due to the watchful eye of its project manager, Paul Reck. While every effort was made to follow the original design there were times certain allowances needed to be made. It was with Paul’s sensitive approach to these matters that the finished product turned out so well and made the project so very enjoyable. Thank you Paul, and Santana thanks you too! |
