SANTANA EST. 1935
REFIT
The chain plates were removed. The entire area was gutted from
the old main mast forward.
New frames were laminated to
support the new forward mast.

After new frames and ceilings
were fitted, bulkheads went in.

The new galley starts to take shape...
The other challenge was to keep the boat looking like it did in 1935 yet allow for as many creature comforts as possible. For example, the microwave oven is hidden behind a cabinet. The flat screen TV is also hidden. The boat has many features found on modern boats, like an electric mainsheet winch but you'd never know unless someone showed you where to look.
A "V" berth was added to the forepeak.
